Laura has been an educator for over 25 years and has been involved in iEARN for the past 8 years. She has attended the iEARN conference in Canada, Taiwan, Brazil and Morocco. Laura actively integrates iEARN projects in her 4th and 6th grade class. The My Hero project and Learning Circle was the first project she participated in and she has continued having her classes involved in My Hero every year since 2010.

Session Description
The presenter will introduce the My Hero website and discuss how her class has been involved with Learning Circles, connecting her class directly with others around the world. The My Hero website explores the best in humanity through stories, essays, artwork, film and audio recordings. Participants should bring their laptop to this session so they can explore the My Hero website and the presenter will help them register on the website.
What will educators learn and be able to do at the end of the session?
To share information about the My Hero Activist Media project. Participants will learn how easily this project can fit into the curriculum and will have the opportunity to register as an educator on the website.
