Registration Information


The Conference and Youth Summit is held July 8-14, 2018 at John Handley High School in Winchester, VA. Plenaries, workshops, and conference activities will take place at this iEARN partner high school. Conference participants will be lodged at a local university just two miles from the high school.  

Registration includes accommodation for 6 nights, daily meals, daily transportation between the university and the conference site, as well as transportation to and from IAD Dulles International Airport. Participants will also have the option to choose between registration without accommodation and day passes to the conference for local attendees.

Registration Accommodations

Dormitory Quad Shared Suite Style Private Youth Summit
Participants will be housed in single rooms (one person to a room) and have access to a hallway bathroom that will be shared by 6 to 10 people. Halls will be same gender. Dormitory is located at Shenandoah University. Participants will be housed in double rooms (two people with two single beds) with access to a shared bathroom that will be used by up to four people. Quad Shared rooms are located at Shenandoah University. Participants will be housed in double rooms with access to an en suite bathroom. Suite Style rooms are located at Shenandoah University. Participants will be housed in single rooms (one person to a room) with access to an en suite bathroom. Private rooms will either be at a nearby hotel or at the University. Participants will be housed in double rooms (two people and two single beds) have access to a hallway bathroom that will be shared by 6 to 10 other participants. Halls will be same gender and adult resident directors will be assigned to each hall. Rooms will be at Shenandoah University.

Private Participants will be housed in single rooms (one person to a room) with access to an en suite bathroom. Private rooms are not at the University but at partner hotels across the street from the University.
Youth Summit Participants will be housed in double rooms (two people and two single beds) have access to a hallway bathroom that will be shared by 6 to 10 other participants. Halls will be same gender and adult resident directors will be assigned to each hall. Rooms will be at Shenandoah University.

**When you register without accommodation, you are responsible for transportation to and from the conference each day. Additionally, you are responsible for transportation to and from the airport. Travel and Visa Information


Travel Preparation

The conference location, Winchester, VA, is 100 km west of Washington, DC. Participants should search for flights that arrive and depart from Dulles Airport (IAD), a major international airport that provides many direct flight options to locations around the world.

Visa Information​

Please visit the U.S. Department of State website for visa information and guidelines for your country. iEARN-USA will provide conference invitation letters to registered international participants, following support from their iEARN Country Coordinator. Please hold all visa related questions until after registration opens on February 1, 2018.
