Session Description
“Growth mindset” has become a buzzword when we talk about teaching and learning. Understanding and fostering a growth mindset in students has become a priority for teachers across all education levels. Having a growth mindset is about the belief that someone can learn and improve. To help shape students’ behaviors and mindsets, teachers should look to develop a consistent culture of high expectations and quality feedback. This workshop will explore the topic through the sharing of videos, group discussions, and an activity.
What will educators learn and be able to do at the end of the session?
This session will help educators build a mindset that leads to greater motivation and higher achievements. Through experiential and interactive activities, educators can learn strategies to increase their own growth mindset as an educator as well as the youth in developing their mindsets by changing the way they think and learn in order to become lifelong learners.
