Olga Morozan
Olga Morozan is working as a Vice-president at the Academy for Innovation and Change through Education from the Republic of Moldova and in 2017 completed the Fulbright Program for Scholars in the College of Education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, providing a lecturing and research activity on the efficient use of technology in education and psychological service.
Morozan has extensive experience as a coordinator, trainer/lecturer, and researcher in various national and international projects and programs connected to education, technology, and social sciences. She co-wrote, coordinated and participated in projects that were financed by the U.S. Department of State and ran by the Academy for Innovation and Change through Education and American Councils for International Education Moldova. She has been the iEARN-Moldova country coordinator from 2012 and worked on developing the network of 300 educators from remote areas of the country and 800 students of all ages and school levels. In addition to this, she has been coordinating the English Access Microscholarship Program since it inception in Moldova in spring, 2011.
Additionally, she has designed and taught courses in Social and Education Sciences, as well as Management and Leadership for students of all ages whose areas of interest include psychology, education, and management; future leaders of the Moldovan society.

Session Description
The session will highlight the best practices of developing student critical thinking and social responsibility, promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels through iEARN-Moldova Global Youth Service Day Project, an initiative coordinated by Youth Service America.This project aims to support a global culture of engaged children and youth committed to a lifetime of meaningful service, learning, and leadership. It empowers young people find their voice, take action, and make an impact on vital community issues.The Global Youth Service Project helps teachers and students partner with local, state, national, and international organizations committed to engaging children and youth as leaders through volunteering, community service, service-learning, national service, and voting/civic engagement.
What will educators learn and be able to do at the end of the session?
At the end of the session the educators and youth will:
- get familiar with innovative ways to develop student critical thinking and social responsibility through civic engagement projects related to UN Sustainable Development Goals;
- draft at least one local initiative idea, considering all project writing stages;
- try online tools to develop project products such as online posters, animation, newsletter or digital books.
