Renee Day
Ms. Day holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Diplomacy, with a concentration in International Conflict Management. She has been involved with iEARN since 2007 when she learned about the program at an education conference in Egypt. Ms. Day has served as a Christopher Stevens Youth Network (CSYN) and BRIDGE Online Course Facilitator from 2013 to present. Ms. Day has 18 years of teaching experience at the secondary level, teaching history and government to students with special needs. She also serves as the advisor for the Model United Nations program at Ramona High School in Riverside, California, in which students engage with the local community to address global issues facing youth, as defined by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Session Description
In this session, the facilitator will share a student project, inspired by the iEARN Project, Be Kind, Don't Leave Them Behind, that addressed SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. Participants will also be able to share how their projects aligned with the SDGs, along with the impact that their projects had on their respective communities.
What will educators learn and be able to do at the end of the session?
Participants in this session will be able to share their project experiences and discuss how their experience with online project collaboration expanded their perspective.
Additional Session Information
The project activities offered by iEARN engage students in all disciplines and allow students at all abilities to access the core curriculum by using technology. The programs offered by iEARN, such as the BRIDGE Program, empowers educators and students to create a caring community through global connections.
