Rachel Manley


Rachel is a Program Manager at iEARN-USA. Rachel’s current role is to manage and support teachers in the BRIDGE Program, a virtual exchange program connecting teachers and classrooms in the U.S. with those in the Middle East and North Africa. Her responsibilities include online course design, curriculum development, workshop facilitation, and program evaluation.  Rachel was an educator for 8 years prior to joining iEARN-USA. She taught abroad in Namibia and most recently was co-teaching in a 4th grade classroom. She holds a Master of Education from University of Wisconsin-Madison in Curriculum and Instruction. Her graduate research focused on the use of technology-enhanced environments to increase global understanding and literacy practices. She hold a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Special Education from The University of Iowa.

Kheira Mezough


Ms. Kheira Mezough has been teaching English as a Foreign Language for more than 15 years now. So fond of technology and the great challenges to education, she engaged in global education both as a webmaster of ELT@lgeria in the last decade, and the Country Coordinator of iEARN@lgeria in the last five years besides facilitating iEARN online courses.

Though a very busy teacher during the academic year, she has had many contributions to different conferences and summer courses in different parts of the world namely Morocco, Qatar, DUBAI and the USA.

Ms. Kheira Mezough also supports her students in gaining quality education, not only she provides them with new teaching approaches but also chaperons them even to attend a conference abroad. She remains on top of her profession and reaches educators both in her country and all around the world.

Héla Nafti holds a B.A. in English Literature and Civilization from Sorbonne University,Paris,France. She has been training pre-service and in-service teachers, developed IT content, has worked in the curriculum and exam departments , has co-writtten and evaluated textbooks.

She has been involved in iEARN since 2004 as country coordinator.She is now executive director of TEARN (Tunisian Education and Resource Network,chapter of iEARN ) and she  currently serves on the Executive Council. Besides, she is president of La Ligue Tunisienne de l’education, a network where teachers try to empower youth with 21stskills that would help them acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to build a better world .

Héla Nafti has always been involved in global education, focusing on improving understanding between communities and fostering the values of tolerance, peace and democracy .

Session Description

This roundtable discussion will be a space for those in the BRIDGE Program to meet one another face to face, share stories and reflect on their experiences. We welcome anyone who has been involved in BRIDGE - educators, facilitators, country coordinators, partners, etc. 

What will educators learn and be able to do at the end of the session?

Participants will:

  • Get the opportunity to meet others in the BRIDGE Program face to face
  • Share their stories and experiences
  • Reflect and provide feedback on the program
