Farah Shafi Kamal Executive Director, iEARN Pakistan

Executive Director, iEARN Pakistan and the Director for the Youth Exchange and Study Program, based at Society for International Education-Pakistan. She is a Visiting faculty teaching Photojournalism at Bahria University Karachi.

Farah is an education and development consultant, leading the iEARN programs in Pakistan in collaboration with 140 countries around the world.

Farah has over 18 years of experience of successful implementation of a range of international cross cultural projects in Pakistan and assisting her counterparts in other countries running similar projects. Farah has initiated several ICT programs in Pakistan which has provided constructive use of internet and telecommunications technologies to K-12 students and schools. Farah is also administering in Pakistan, programs creating opportunities for High school students and teachers to participate in exchanges and training programs internationally, specifically the United States of America. Farah is leading projects on CVE and youth leadership, citizen and mobile journalism.

She has a Master of Education degree at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, in Language and Literacy Education. She has completed the Executive Program for the Leaders of Non profit Organizations from Graduate School of Business-Stanford University, USA. Farah got her teacher training and mentoring certificate from Oxford University UK, and have completed the Diploma of School Management from Aga Khan University-Institute of Educational Development. Since 1998 she presented and participated in ICT based, and cultural exchange trainings programs, presentations and workshops in more then 30 countries around the world.

She has overall 30+ years of experience of running non profits including school administration, teaching, teacher training, project design and management.

Besides Farah is a freelance photo journalist, trained from Intl. Centre of Photography-NYC, and a certificate of Photojournalism from Centre of excellence in Journalism, IBA. Karachi. Farah is also a blogger at Express Tribune, feature photographer and travel writer for the MAG The Weekly.

Graduated as health supportive chef from Natural Gourmet Institute –NYC, and a TV Chef.
